Rita-Kay

My name is Rita Kay and I am a singer-songwriter local to Media, Pennsylvania. I’ve been writing my own lyrics since age six and composing accompaniment on the acoustic guitar since age eight. My music can, for the most part, be described as Indie. That said, I’ve got a pretty eclectic taste in music, so it only makes sense that the songs I write have a bit of variety to them, as well. As far as content is concerned, I write whatever needs to be written at any given time and I value authenticity in the way I convey my emotions and beliefs in my songs. I’ve written a lot about hope and endearment, strife and ambivalence, loss, anger….to me, songwriting is an opportunity to converse with my soul and share pieces of our conversations with my friends and family.

I’ve recently begun the process of recording my music and I hope to share it with you soon! In the meantime, if you’ve heard my songs before it’s probably been at local events, coffee houses, or through my open car windows in passing through Media.
